The Šambron village is surrounded by the mountains Levočské vrchy. This community was born in 14th century in agreement with the purchasing law. The first written document is from 1411. Around this period of time there already stood an orthodox church. The actual sacral dominant of Šambron, the Greek Catholic church of Virgin Mary, was built in 1872. It is a romantic historical monument with new roman elements. The main altar with an iconostas is new. The side altar comes from the times of building the church. Opposite the church is a pastorage. The kindergarten is a filial of the primary school Plavnicka. There are organized sport days every year, as well as the ping pong tournament. In the cadaster of the community officiate some entrepreneurs. The most eminent is the Agrokarpaty enterprise, where the tea and other products are produced, packed and stored. This region is like a paradise for touristic and relax in nature. There is a possibility of fishing, mushrooming and collecting other forest fruits, horse riding, walks, cyclo-touristic and hunting. It is planned to build a cyclo-track Torysa which would lead through this village
